I was privileged to be raised by an amazing mother, Grace Hudson, née Lewis, who was the quintessential mom. After becoming a parent I began to have a greater appreciation for how amazing she was.
While it is the most challenging, parenting reaps the greatest rewards. It is a journey filled with both trials and triumphs, but the love and joy that come from nurturing and guiding children make every moment worthwhile.
With 23 years of experience in the mental health field, 18 years teaching and 19 years as a parent, I have had many opportunities to observe interactions between parents and their children. My work in a Partial Hospitalization Program and an Intensive Outpatient Program with teens and young adults reinforced my beliefs about what is most important in a parent-child relationship. The world is changing and we have to arsenal-up to save our children. The role parents play in the mental well-being of their children is unmatched by any other variable. This is biblical, "...train up a child in the way it should go..."Proverbs 22:6
God has a great plan for our children's lives (Jeremiah 29:11) and has promised to fight with us to save them (Isaiah 49:25). Hense the development of a parent program that begins with PRAYER.

We are a family of five from the suburban city of Bowie, Maryland. Our family includes my husband Ricardo, our three amazing children and me. While each of us has our own varied interests that is honored and celebrated, we also share many intersecting passions.
For instance, I love gardening, painting, playing the piano and crocheting and so does our oldest daughter. Ricardo shares a love of video games and watching movies with our three children. The children and I enjoy playing musical instruments, and we all have enjoy cooking.
Because we love our children dearly, we prioritize honoring their differences, nurturing the unique God-given traits and the promise of greatness He has placed in each of them.
We understand that none of us is perfect so we value the importance of compassion and grace - first to oursleves and then to others. Being PACERS parents, has given us the confidence to parent from a place of our own personal development and growth.

In addition to parenting concerns, children need the tools to identify, understand, manage, and effectively use their emotions in a healthy manner. Conducting pre- and post-assessments in the PACERS parenting program is essential to measuring the effectiveness of the interventions, tracking progress, and ensuring that parents are gaining the necessary skills and knowledge to foster a nurturing and supportive environment for their children.
